Dubai: The civic body has been awarded the Sustainable Living Plan Award 2013, constituted by Unilever Middle East and North Africa for supporting sustainability projects in Dubai, said officials at the civic body.
Eng Redha Salaman, Director, Public Health& safety Department received the award for Dubai Municipality from Arijit Ghose, Managing Director, Unilever Gulf, in a programme held in Dubai recently.
After receiving award Eng Redha Salaman said Dubai Municipality has always promoted and supported initiatives from the private sector which aims to boost Dubai’s efforts to ensure sustainable development.
The health and safety campaign aiming to promote sustainable living was further expanded as Dubai Municipality took it to various labour accommodations in Dubai targeting workers and labourers throughout last year.
