Supreme Council of Energy team heads for China

Team to discuss areas of cooperation in the energy sector

Dubai:A high-profile delegation from the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy and the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA ) left yesterday for China to discuss areas of cooperation in the energy sector with their counterparts in the country.

The visit follows an invitation from the Chinese Government and aims to strengthen cooperation and joint efforts with the Chinese organisations working in the field of energy, electricity and water, and review their achievements in clean, alternative, and renewable energy and the reduction of losses on electricity networks.

Saeed Mohammad Al Tayer, Vice Chairman of the Supreme Council and Managing Director and CEO of DEWA, is heading the delegation.

Senior officials of the Chinese National Energy Administration will receive the delegation and discuss topics including renewable and clean energy, carbon emissions and global warming issues.
