Abu Dhabi: The Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development has announced the selection of six technical ideas in the finals of the Ibtikari initiative, which was launched by Khalifa Fund to encourage Emirati youth and stimulate their innovation and creativity in the information technology sector and design smart applications.

Abdullah Saeed Al Darmaki, Chief Executive Officer in Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development, said that the owners of selected ideas will join a specialised business incubator for 100 days provided by Telecommunication Regulatory Authority.

“The fund received 40 business ideas in the smartphone application sector by Emirati youth. Then groups were formed to manage and develop the ideas and to design a business plan after they benefited from the training workshops organised by Khalifa Fund”, Al Darmaki explained.
