Sharjah: The Court of His Highness Dr Shaikh Sultan Bin Mohammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, on Tuesday mourned Shaikh Ahmad Bin Mohammad Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, who passed away in the morning. Shaikh Ahmad was the brother of Shaikh Sultan Bin Mohammad Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, and Shaikh Salem Bin Mohammad Bin Sultan Al Qasimi.
In a statement, the Ruler’s Court expressed its deepest condolences to the family of the deceased and members of Al Qasimi family, praying to Allah the Almighty to rest his soul in paradise.
Funeral prayers will be performed on Wednesday morning at the King Faisal Mosque, Sharjah, and the body will be taken afterwards to be buried at Al Jubail cemetery.
The statement added that condolences will be accepted at Al Badea Palace in Sharjah from 9am on Wednesday for three days.
A three-day mourning period was announced in the emirate of Sharjah, during which UAE flags will be flown at half-mast.
