Dubai: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, on Saturday received General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Chief of the Army Staff of the Pakistan Army, who is currently on a visit to the UAE.
They discussed bilateral relations and a number of topics related to developing ties of friendship and cooperation as well as the latest developments in the region, in the presence of Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, and Shaikh Maktoum Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai.
The talk touched on the role of the Pakistani community in the UAE, where Shaikh Mohammad praised the constructive role of Pakistanis and their effective contribution to the march of development in the country.
General Qamar Javed thanked Shaikh Mohammad for humanitarian assistance provided by the UAE to the Pakistani people and highly valued development projects implemented in Pakistan in line with the directives of President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
He lauded the impressive development experienced by the UAE in all domains, especially economic and cultural growth, thanks to its wise leadership and its balanced policies regionally and internationally.
