Abu Dhabi: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, on Monday received Ali Bongo, President of Gabon, who is currently on a visit to the country.

Shaikh Mohammad welcomed Bongo and exchanged congratulations and blessings of Ramadan and prayed to Allah Almighty to bestow mercy and blessings.

They discussed ties of friendship and cooperation in various domains and ways to develop them.

The talks also touched on the existing avenues of cooperation and ways to develop them in the fields of economy and trade in view of the desire of both countries to expand bilateral relations and bolster bonds of friendship.

Shaikh Mohammad said the UAE, under the leadership of President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, is keen to extend bridges of cooperation and friendship with Gabon and build strong relations that serve common interests and mutual benefits of both peoples and nations.

Bongo expressed his delight over visiting the UAE and gain an insight into its advanced development experience.

The two leaders also exchanged views over the regional and international developments and a number of issues of mutual concern.

Shaikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, and senior officials, were present.
