Abu Dhabi: The UAE’s strategy for growth and development is based primarily on human resources, which are the country’s capital and our bet for a bright future in the country.

His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, made the statement as he received Amal Abdullah Al Qubaisi, Speaker of the Federal National Council (FNC), and women ministers, FNC members and leaders in the civil and military sector.

During the meeting held to mark Emirati Women’s day, Shaikh Mohammad hailed the achievements of women in different fields.

“Emirati women have been instrumental in the national development thanks to the sharp vision and farsightedness of the late Shaikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan who paved the way for women to make their own way with confidence and overcome difficulties and obstacles to participate in the nation’s development on an equal footing with their male counterparts,’ Shaikh Mohammad said.

He lauded President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s support for women, out of his deep belief in women’s vital role in the country’s development and advancement.

Shaikh Mohammad stressed that women have proven their efficiency, excellence and success in leading many social, economic and political sectors. “They added to the national work important and fundamental dimensions in the UAE’s drive of progress and prosperity through their effective and genuine involvement in all aspects,” he added.

Shaikh Mohammad said Emirati women made achievements that enabled them to occupy a prestigious and advanced position on the global level.

“The UAE primarily depends on its citizens as the key driver of development. The next phase of development capitalises on excellence, creativity and innovation as well as on human resources who are empowered with knowledge and science and persistency to continue to achieve more accomplishments and successes,” he said.
