Al Ain: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, on Monday decorated seven Emirati soldiers with the Medal of Valor.

The soldiers were honoured in recognition of their heroic role in performing their national duty as part of the involvement of UAE forces in Operation Restoring Hope.

Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid and Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed saluted the nation’s heroes who proved their heroic and honourable stands for themselves and their country, thus reflecting the authentic values of faithfulness and bravery deeply rooted in the Emirati society.

The soldiers who have been honoured are Major Abdullah Salem Rashid Al Yamahi, Captain Ahmad Mohammad Saeed Al Beloushi, Hassan Rashid Saeed Hamdoun Al Naqbi, Warrant Officer-Class 1 Ali Faraj Abdullah Jaber, Warrant Officer Ahmad Esmail Al Matrooshi, First Sergeant Khalid Mohammad Obaid Al Tunaiji, and Sergeant Obaid Khamis Khalfan Al Hahmi.

They were decorated with the Medal of Valor in the presence of Lieutenant General Hamad Mohammad Thani Al Rumaithi, Chief of Staff of the UAE Armed Forces.

The decoration ceremony was attended by Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Shaikh Tahnoun Bin Mohammad Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in Al Ain, Lieutenant General Shaikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Shaikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, Shaikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, other Shaikhs and senior officials.
