Dubai:  His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has compared doctors and nurses to "knights" and "angels" of mercy who spare no effort to safeguard the community's health.

Shaikh Mohammad's remarks came during his visit to Fujairah Hospital on the first day of Ramadan on Monday following which he had iftar with doctors and nurses at the hospital canteen.

During this visit, Shaikh Mohammad inspected the paediatric department at the hospital and was briefed by doctors on advanced equipment used to treat children and provide them with high quality medical care.

He also toured a newly opened cardiac catheterisation department at the hospital.
