Dubai: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has ordered on Monday the release of 606 prisoners on the occasion of the 46th UAE National Day.
"In his capacity as Ruler of Dubai, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, has ordered the release of 606 inmates of Dubai’s punitive and corrective institutions on the occasion of the UAE’s 46th National Day," a statement said.
The Dubai Media Office also said in a tweet:

Dubai’s Attorney General Essam Eisa Al Humaidan said that the order reflects the keenness of His Highness to offer the pardoned inmates a chance to reintegrate into society.
Al Humaidan also said that the Public Prosecution has started coordinating with Dubai Police to implement the order.
The UAE is marking the country's 46th National Day on December 2.
