ABU DHABI:  President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan has bestowed the Order of Independence, First Class, to Michel Miraillet, French Ambassador to the UAE, in recognition of his efforts during his tenure in the state, which contributed to the development and strengthening of the friendly relations and cooperation between the UAE and France in all fields.

During a ceremony held at Al Mushrif Palace in Abu Dhabi, Shaikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, presented the order to the ambassador.

Shaikh Abdullah lauded the ambassador’s role in enhancing ties between the UAE and France, and wished him success in all his future assignments.

Miraillet expressed his appreciation of the wise policy being pursued by President Shaikh Khalifa and his prominent role at regional and international levels. He also thanked Shaikh Abdullah for his pioneering efforts to promote bilateral cooperation and friendship between the UAE and France.
