Abu Dhabi: The role of the family is to act as the first line of defence in protecting children from exposure to risk, a Ministry of Interior official said on Tuesday.
Colonel Mubarak Bin Muhairom, general director of Community Protection and Crime Prevention at the ministry, called upon parents to increase their interest in communicating with their child’s school.
He noted that the Abu Dhabi Community Police Department has scheduled police-related programmes to implement throughout the school year. Pointing to the overwhelming response received from the parents in previous years, Col Bin Muhairom said the department endeavours to contribute towards a secure and stable environment.
