Dubai: A one-stop shop offering businesses and individuals the services of 12 government departments has opened in Al Mazaya Centre off Shaikh Zayed Road.

The centre, Platinum CWK Businessmen Services, was officially launched just over a week ago. Though now only a branch of the Department of Economic Development (DED) is open, the centre will soon offer the services of a dozen government entities, including Emirates ID, the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs, Notary Public and Ministry of Labour.

It also offers services to companies in free zones.

Mohammad Abdul Malak, Group CEO of Platinum CWK, said the centre’s objective is to also offer consultations to businesses and investors.

Consultations

“We combine our management experience and knowledge of the market to facilitate services to corporates and individuals,” Abdul Malak said, “the objective was to create a unified centre to provide all the government services.”

Abdul Malak said a dedicated team at Platinum CWK offers consultation to those seeking to open a new business or invest in the local market.

“Right now, many might not know the nature of the market, the differences, the regulations or the procedures. We have a dedicated team that offers consultations to the client, finding out what option best suits their needs. We find out exactly what type of company they are planning to open and we lay out the options.”

The team then builds a business plan, gets the necessary approvals, and puts the structure of the company in place. “All requirements to get a trade licence between 24 to 48 hours alleviate hassle,” Abdul Malak said.

After the centre is fully established, it aims to be operational seven days a week, 24 hours a day. “We can get approvals from various governments, handle visa processes, applications, and licensing. The centre is really a one-stop-shop for all government services businesses and individuals may require.”

The centre will also have two financial establishments, National Bank of Umm Al Quwain and Awqaf, to facilitate payment of the offered services, in addition to offering conventional bank services.

Other facilities

“Between the two, customers can take care of the government fees required for applications and deal with other financial services. We have people on site taking applications, issuing bank guarantees, personal services, car loans, etc.”

Abdul Malak said the centre will also have an accounting and auditing firm with affiliations to the United States. “The firm, called USFA, offers a range of services such as consultancy, litigations, book keeping, and even manages US taxes.”

Abdul Malak said the Mazaya Centre is strategically located, with as many as 1,400 car parks and two Metro stations nearby.

“It offers ample car parking to those who wish to drive here and has two Metro stations located before and after the mall for those who prefer using public transportation.”

At the beginning of next month, Platinum CWK will also launch another centre in The Dubai Mall, dedicated to offering Roads and Transport Authority (RTA)-related services.

“We are opening another centre in the first week of August in partnership with the RTA,” he said. “The centre will offer services related to insurance, car testing, car lights, wheel alignment. It also deals in luxury cars, parts, detailing and even pick up and delivery of cars from remote areas. The team is currently training by the RTA. The centre will be operational 24/7.”
