Sharjah: Sharjah public works has completed the Social Services building in Hamriya at a total cost of Dh7 million.

Engineer Ali Bin Shaheen Al Suwaidi, Director of the Sharjah Public Works Department, said that the project is considered one ring in a series of a development chains that has seen the light according to the directives of His Highness Dr Shaikh Sultan Bin Mohammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, to meeting the needs of the Hamriya residents and provide them with services through modern governmental buildings that serve UAE nationals.

He explained that the total building area is 1,600 square metres and consists of a ground floor featuring six wings. The first is for the management of home care and consists of five offices and two warehouses, and a pharmacy wing consisting of an office, store and pharmacy.

The third wing is the administrative location which consists of eight offices, a recreation hall and a meeting hall. The fourth wing consists of Al Asalah club that has three rooms, two for physiotherapy and a store room.

The fifth wing is the family events and gathering location with an office and three rooms.
