Abu Dhabi: The Shaikh Zayed Housing Programme has approved Dh476 million in housing assistance for 737 eligible Emiratis to coincide with the 46th National Day celebrations.

The move comes in line with the directives of President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and the follow-up of Shaikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs.

The housing assistance, covering 553 loans and 184 grants, was approved during a meeting headed by Dr Abdullah Mohammad Bel Haif Al Nuaimi, Minister of Infrastructure Development and Chairman of the Board of the Zayed Programme.

Al Nuaimi said the Shaikh Zayed Housing Programme is part of the everlasting legacy of the late Shaikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, who supported citizens, cared about their living conditions, and provided them with a dignified life to ensure the well-being and happiness of Emiratis.
