Dubai: The UAE has established an exceptional position in the regional and global arenas thanks to the leadership of President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan and the outstanding efforts of federal and local work teams.

The statement was made by His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, as he reviewed a detailed report on the implementation of the UAE National Agenda indexes carried out by more than 200 federal and local entities as well as private organisations.

Shaikh Mohammad said the UAE National Agenda, which was launched a year ago, and continues till 2021, serves as benchmark to measure achievement of a real progress in the sectors of education, health care, economy, police and security, housing, infrastructure and government services.

  The seven-year agenda stipulates national objectives to be realised by 2021 in line with the UAE Vision 2021 matching the UAE 50th National Day.

Shaikh Mohammad thanked all work teams from over 200 federal, local, and private entities for their efforts and devotion and wished that they would continue to work with the same spirit and enthusiasm.

Shaikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, Mohammad Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs, were present at the meeting.

Shaikh Mohammad said that the implementation of the national agenda is progressing according to the plan to reach the 2021 goals, and that there are many indicators and targets that we will be able to achieve before 2021.

“We want a better life for our people, better housing and education, and quality health services. We still have six years to achieve our ambitions towards our vision”.

“We follow up education, health, Emiratisation, housing, environment and economy indices periodically and we have some comments on the delay of some bodies,” Shaikh Mohammad said.

Shaikh Mohammad said that he issued instructions to publish the results of the national indexes to ensure transparency and clarity because everyone is required to be transparent of which all will benefit.
