Abu Dhabi- His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and Chairman of the Executive Council, issued instructions for accelerating the full digital transformation for customer services before the end of this year.

Shaikh Mohammad made the instruction as he visited the Abu Dhabi Municipality to inspect the progress of work on a number of development projects and initiatives, including the policy of customer service and making them happy.

He was updated on the developments of the digital transformation at the Department of Urban Planning and Municipalities, as part of the interactive digital platform involving all kinds of services rendered to customers.

On the first leg of his inspection tour, Shaikh Mohammad visited customer service offices where he familiarised himself with a range of services provided to the public, such as land and property transactions, community services and procedures to obtain building permits. He was also informed about the modern systems that have recently been launched to ease and speed up procedures for clients.

Shaikh Mohammad was briefed by Saif Badr Al Qubaisi, Director General of Abu Dhabi Municipality, about the civic body’s various activities and projects, including digital transformation strategy, corporate maturity, infrastructure projects and the municipality’s assets.

“The prospects of corporate work and its development is part of our future vision that aims to ensure sustainable services, in terms of both quality and quantity, to meet the needs of community members and ensure their welfare,” Shaikh Mohammad said.

During his tour, Shaikh Mohammad instructed and urged officials to double work and efforts as well as to continue updating services for both Emiratis and residents in a manner that exceed their expectations.

He underlined the importance of partnership with the private sector to create a service system that keeps abreast of the rapid development the UAE is experiencing in all walks of life, under the leadership of President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Highlighting the importance of feedback by clients, Shaikh Mohammad issued instructions for speeding up the establishment of a customer complaint section to allow the improvement and advancement of services on the grounds of ideas and suggestions made by clients.

He ordered officials to communicate with the private investment sector to discuss the privatisation, investment and operation of municipal facilities and developing them commercially, as well as examine future projects that contribute to boosting Abu Dhabi’s stature as an attractive and favourite destination.

Shaikh Mohammad issued instructions for the development of construction sector policies within three months, and highlighted the need to finish the bicycle track in Al Hudayrat Island.
