Dubai: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, thanked President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, for congratulating him on being chosen the Cultural Personality of the Year by Shaikh Zayed Book Award.
Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid also extended his thanks to Their Highnesses Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates. “The sentiments in the statement of my brother Shaikh Khalifa reflect the personality of a person brought up by the late Shaikh Zayed. It also reflects Shaikh Khalifa’s kind soul and exceptional leadership, a leader who is keen on being the first to congratulate others on special occasions and achievements,” said Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid.
“I would also like to thank Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed for his sincere sentiments that reflect the feelings of brotherliness and love that bond us in the UAE and makes the country an example in brotherliness and love,” said Shaikh Mohammad.
Shaikh Mohammad also extended his heartfelt thanks to the Rulers of the UAE, as well as Shaikhs, media persons and officials for their well wishes.
“I am pleased to accept this honour from an award that is named after a figure who has consolidated a history, values and principles in every Arab. All that we have accomplished in the past or present is what we have learnt from our founding fathers, the late Shaikh Zayed and Shaikh Rashid. I will continue to walk this path that they have set, side by side with my brother Shaikh Khalifa and Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed, and the Rulers of the UAE. We will continue to give our all for serving our citizens, consolidating the status of the UAE and supporting everything that benefits humanity,” said Shaikh Mohammad.
