ABU DHABI: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, on Saturday received Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Angelino Alfano of Italy, who is currently visiting the country to attend the third round of the strategic dialogue in Abu Dhabi between the UAE and Italy.
Shaikh Mohammad welcomed the Italian minister to the UAE and discussed with him cooperation and friendly relations and ways of enhancing them to serve the common interests of the two friendly nations.
During the meeting, which was attended by Shaikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, both sides reviewed the main pillars of the strategic dialogue and the ideas that support the desire and keenness of both countries to strengthen and enhance their political, economic and investment cooperation.
The two sides also discussed a number of issues of common concern in addition to latest regional and international developments and the efforts of both countries in achieving regional security and stability.
The meeting was attended by Saqr Nasser Al Rissi, UAE Ambassador to Italy, and Liborbio Stellilino, Ambassador of t Italy to the UAE.
