Abu Dhabi: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, met with a delegation from the National Happiness and Positivity Programme on Tuesday.

The meeting was held to discuss the programme’s initiatives, achievements and future objectives. Uhoud Khalfan Al Roumi, Minister of State for Happiness, was present.

Speaking during the meeting, Shaikh Mohammad said the UAE’s main objective, since its inception, was to achieve the happiness of its citizens, promote national assets, and strengthen and consolidate the nation’s position globally at all levels.

He also spoke about the multiple facets for achieving happiness and positivity, which he said was only possible through the act of giving, being tolerant and establishing goodness.

“The UAE has been a pioneer in adopting a national programme for promoting happiness and positivity through which we want to create a better, more beautiful, and happier life for the sons and daughters of the nation, who deserve to live with joy and optimism,” Shaikh Mohammad said.

Shaikh Mohammad added that the UAE’s investment was always on the Emirati citizens, who have succeeded in creating one of the happiest and most fulfilled countries in the world, adding that with continued hard work, the UAE will see more achievements that will further enhance the happiness and well-being of the community as a whole.

The Abu Dhabi Crown Prince went on to stress the importance of instilling the values of giving and tolerance in future generations, and raising them in a culture of positivity, optimism and hope. He commended the role of the National Happiness and Positivity Programme in launching various initiatives aimed to promote positive values and attitudes.

The meeting was attended by a number of shaikhs and senior officials.
