Abu Dhabi: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, on Wednesday received Abdul Rashid Dostum, Vice-President of Afghanistan.
They discussed bilateral relations and ways to develop them in the best interests of the two nations and peoples. The talk touched on efforts and contributions by the UAE in reconstruction and development in Afghanistan.
Shaikh Mohammad and Dostum explored avenues of coordination on issues related to countering violence, extremism and terrorism. They also reviewed the latest regional and international developments, and exchanged views on a number of issues of mutual interest.
Shaikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, and other senior officials attended the meeting.
