Dubai: The World Government Summit will be turned into an international organisation that aims to perceive the future in all sectors and play an active role in producing knowledge for future governments.

His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, made this announcement as he on Sunday opened the Museum of the Future, one of the key highlights of the summit, which kicks off on Monday.

The World Government organisation will be dedicated to launch global development indices and reports, forge partnerships with leading international organisations to further help in the building of a better future for next generations and achieve sustainable development and happiness to people worldwide.

Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, and Shaikh Maktoum Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, and Mohammad Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs and Chairman of the summit, were present.

The three-day summit, held under the title ‘Shaping Future Governments’, will continue until February 10 at Madinat Jumeirah.

The museum, organised by the Dubai Foundation for the Museum of the Future, focuses on the perception of the future of robotics and artificial intelligence as one of the most important vital sectors that will have a direct impact on social and economic aspects of communities, especially on education and health.

“The UAE seeks to open a window into the future through the summit to serve as a platform that brings together experts, thought leaders, thinkers, policymakers and innovators to share their expertise and visions for the good of all people on Earth,” Shaikh Mohammad said.

Shaikh Mohammad said the museum is a unique addition to the summit, which wants to convey a message to the entire world that “governments should acquire innovation tools and keys to the future so as to meet the aspirations and ambitions of their people”.
