Dubai: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, yesterday (Wednesday) inaugurated the State Security’s new head office in Dubai.

Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Crown Prince, and Shaikh Maktoum Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, were present.

Shaikh Mohammad unveiled the building’s commemorative plaque, marking its inauguration. Shaikh Mohammad expressed his gratitude for the important role played by the security body and its leaders and officers, as well as their efforts to strengthen security and safety and safeguard society’s achievements. He pointed out that a safe environment is a key factor in supporting development approaches.

Shaikh Mohammad was then briefed by the director-general of State Security in Dubai about the flow of operations in the security body, its various departments and achievements. He was also briefed about the body’s future plans that will be implemented to complement Dubai Plan 2021, which will further solidify Dubai’s position as one of the most safe cities.

Shaikh Mohammad then inspected a number of construction projects related to the State Security’s head office in Dubai, and inquired about the body’s future projects. Shaikh Mohammad then toured an exhibition on the history of the State Security and its affiliated departments.

The Vice-President viewed a presentation that outlined the readiness of the State Security. He inspected a number of equipment and technological means used by the State Security to achieve its objectives.
