Dubai: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, on Sunday received ministers, undersecretaries and their assistants, directors and senior officials at federal government bodies on the occasion of Ramadan.
They exchanged Ramadan greetings and expressed their best wishes of good health and greater prosperity and progress for the wise leadership, the UAE and its citizens.
Shaikh Mohammad expressed his satisfaction with the performance of the Cabinet and other government entities as they faithfully discharge their national duties and responsibilities towards their nation and community members.
“Everyone, whether in a ministry or a government body, spared no effort to discharge their assignments. We work as one team, civil officials or military servants, at ministries, federal organisations and local government departments, with the aim of raising the status and advancing our nation, which deserves sacrifice, hard work and dedication.”
Shaikh Mohammad talked about knowledge economy and the importance of maintaining the decent living standards for Emirati citizens across the country.
“In spite of this good performance by ministers and officials in all federal and local government posts, we aspire to more innovation and new creative ideas that would contribute to pushing the march of sustainable development forward on all levels, so that our country remain a model of excellence, giving and administrative and financial transparency,” Shaikh Mohammad said.
The Vice-President said that development project must be implemented in all parts of the country, in line with the directives of President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan to provide all means of happiness and dignified life for the Emirati people.
Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, and Shaikh Maktoum Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, were present.
Shaikh Mohammad hosted an iftar banquet in their honour.
