Dubai: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, on Wednesday honoured key sponsors of the fourth World Government Summit.

Shaikh Mohammad praised the sponsors’ great efforts that helped in the success of the summit.

He highlighted the importance of joint public and private sector efforts to support all events hosted by the UAE in general and by Dubai in particular.

Shaikh Mohammad attended a ceremony of signing partnership agreements with main sponsors for the next edition of the summit.

Mohammad Bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs and Chairman of the Organising Committee of the World Government Summit, and representatives of the summit sponsors signed the agreement.

The sponsors honoured were the Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company (Du), a major sponsor; the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development, a strategic partner; the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, a partner to sustainable energy; Dubai Municipality, a partner to smart city; and Abraaj Group, a leading partner to entrepreneurship and DP World.

Other sponsors include Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Fund, a leading partner, VPS Healthcare, GEMS group for education, Landmark Group, Lulu and RP Group of companies, Emirates, and Al Tayer Motors.
