Dubai: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, on Monday received Juan Carlos Varela, President of Panama.
The two leaders discussed ties of friendship and ways to find new channels of communication and reinforce avenues of cooperation between both countries in trade, investment, cultural and tourist spheres, in the presence of Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai.
Varela outlined investment opportunities in his country and fundamentals for forging investment partnerships between the two nations, and stressed his country’s desire to strengthen cultural, economic and commercial ties with the UAE.
Shaikh Mohammad welcomed extending new bridges of cooperation with Panama, and underlined the vital role that can be played by the private sector in both countries in building successful business and investment partnerships that serve the interests of the two nations.
The meeting was attended by Shaikh Ahmad Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of Dubai Civil Aviation, Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates airline and Group, Mohammad Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs and the Future, and other Shaikhs and senior officials from both sides.
