Abu Dhabi: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, attended on Monday the graduation ceremony of the third batch of graduates from the National Defence College (NDC) in Abu Dhabi.

Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid and Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed presented certificates to 37 Emirati graduates who obtained a master’s degree from the National Defence College after completing a year of study and training.

Addressing the gathering, Major General Rashad Mohammad Salem Al Saadi, Commander of NDC, hailed the continued support by Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed to the college and all other national institutions. He added that Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed is always attentive regarding the college’s programmes, which aim to prepare strategic leaders and unify concepts of strategic planning and national security.

Al Saadi said that the objectives of NDC’s curriculum is to enable students to obtain valuable information for the purpose of introducing them to a strategic and challenging environment, and teach them about national resources and various elements of the country’s strength.

The ceremony was attended by Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Crown Prince, Shaikh Tahnoun Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Adviser, Shaikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, Lieutenant General Hamad Mohammad Thani Al Rumaithi, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, and a number of ministers and senior military officials.
