Abu Dhabi: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, yesterday (Monday) presented certificates to the 24th batch of graduates from the Joint Command and Staff College (JCSC).

Shaikh Mohammad congratulated the graduates on their achievement, which allows them to become future leaders in the UAE Armed Forces and better serve and defend their nation. He also urged them to be models for future UAE Armed Forces officers.

In his opening speech, Major General Ahmad Ali Humaid Al Ali, Commander of JCSC, welcomed Shaikh Mohammad and thanked him for his patronage of the ceremony. Al Ali said that Shaikh Mohammad spearheads the federal government, and represents a role model for leadership thanks to his wisdom and vision. He added that Shaikh Mohammad is a man who has made many promises and kept them, and stressed that the people of the UAE are enjoying an era of prosperity, security and peace of mind under the leadership of President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Shaikh Mohammad.

Maj Gen Al Ali said that since the era of the founding fathers, investing in human resources remains a priority of the UAE’s wise leadership and government. He said that this stems from the leadership and government’s belief that people are the real wealth of any nation. He pointed out that military personnel in the UAE have enjoyed a large share of this investment, which helped them excel in various scientific and military skills that allow them to use advanced weapon systems and contribute to the development and manufacture of these systems.

Present during the ceremony were Lieutenant General Shaikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Shaikh Hazza Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Adviser, Shaikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture, Youth, and Community Development, and other senior Armed Forces officials.
