Dubai: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, on Wednesday unveiled the five-star plate of the Emirates Identity Centre.

He also approved the final results of the star rating system of all government service centre as he visited the ID centre in Al Barsha. The ID centre has got a five–star rating in accordance with the new classification of service centres. The star rating system was launched by Shaikh Mohammad two years ago, with the number of stars indicating the rating of a government centre to be put on plates outside the centre so that a client knows the level of service.

“The UAE is the first country in the world that classifies its service centres using the star rating because clients are guests and deserve the best services,” Shaikh Mohammad said.

He said that the federal service centres received 30 million visitors, and completes more than 150 million transactions every year.

Shaikh Mohammad underlined that the federal government has entered a new phase by completing the rating of all government service centres as per the hotel rating so that all visitors will know the quality of services provided at each centre.

“We launched two years ago a new phase of government performance where government centres race to compete the private sector in providing the best quality services, and today we have an international accredited star rating. We have a new spirit of competition and a determination to reach the best level of customer satisfaction,” Shaikh Mohammad said.

According to the results, five centres got five stars, 44 centres got 4 stars and 83 centres got three stars.

Ratings range from a minimum of two stars to a maximum of seven, and are to be displayed at the entrance of every centre in order to reflect to the centre’s level of services.

Shaikh Mohammad listened to a detailed presentation by Hessa Bu Humaid, Chief Executive Officer for Government Services Sector at the Prime Minister’s Office at the Ministry of Cabinet Affairs, in the presence of Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Shaikh Hazza Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Adviser and Chairman of the Emirates Identity Authority, Lieutenant General Shaikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, and other officials.
