Dubai: A number of Emiratis from the private sector offered a range of innovative ideas and mechanisms applied in their daily duties during the Innovative Citizens Forum held by the Ministry of Labour on Thursday.

Mubarak Al Daheri, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Labour, said the forum aimed to shed light on creative ideas prepared by innovative citizens working in the private sector and support it through various economic divisions.

“The UAE takes great interest in empowering citizens and providing full support to help develop their abilities and take part in achieving the goals of the UAE’s Vision 2021. During the Innovation Week, a series of national initiatives of our wise leadership were launched. The innovative ideas presented by our creative citizens working for the private sector are commendable and show their excellence and ability to lead their own businesses in the future.”

Dr Omar Al Nuaimi, Assistant Undersecretary for Policy and Strategy at the ministry, said the ministry pays great attention to such initiatives supporting and attracting citizens to the private sector.

Supporting such initiatives is part of the national agenda aimed at achieving a tenfold increase in the number of Emiratis in the private sector, he said.
