Dubai: A set of VIP guests visited the Sharjah International Book Fair (SIBF) on Tuesday, including His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
The 36th edition of the SIBF, which runs until next Saturday, has already attracted 728,000 visitors in five days, highlighting the fair’s unique characteristics and exceptional spectrum of events and activities which attracts more and more visitors and book lovers each year.
The online news outlet Sharjah24 posted a video on Twitter, with the caption: “Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid at the Sharjah International Book Fair with Sharjah’s Deputy Ruler.”

Shaikh Mohammad and a number of government officials visited the book fair after they chaired a Cabinet meeting at the venue, according to Dubai Media Office.
Organised by the Sharjah Book Authority under the slogan ‘A World in my Book’, the SIBF features more than 1,650 publishing houses from 60 countries exhibiting 1.5 million books.
The fair hosts 393 authors, intellectuals and artists from 48 countries taking part in its 2,600 activities, as well as many book signing ceremonies for 11 days.
