Conventional thinking clouds imagination
Population growth is slow and in the future, instead of seeing too many people, we will see far too less, said Peter Schwartz, Futurist and Senior VP of Strategic Planning at Salesforce.
'The population bomb' is slow even in China and India he said, while speaking at World Government Summit on How Governments get ready for the Unthinkable.
Salesforce, American cloud computing company headquartered in San Francisco, Californiais, is best known for its customer relationship management (CRM) product.
Conventional thinking, he said, will cloud the ability to imagine different possible scenarios. Even the collapse of Soviet Union could have been predicted early by analyzing indicators and developing action plans, he said.
Government should act in advance and in a timely manner in a world of surprises and uncertainties.

Space will create the first trillionaires: Neil Degrasse Tyson
“Maybe it is time to resurrect the legacy of the Arab world. Maybe Dubai Expo 2020 is the city of tomorrow, maybe it is the right place to put the city of tomorrow. Space is a gateway science, because how need many scientists to go there. You need all fields of engineering, physicist, planetary geology...etc. Space will create the first trillionaires. Through mining asteroids, deflecting asteroids and mining for water.”

"When you discover something you get to name it, you are the first to use it and first to make a product and that is how you lead.
As a teenager I found that the names of stars are nearly all Arabic. I didn't know much about Arabs except oil and what the media told me. I researched and found about the seminal role of Arabic in my field. Two-third of the stars that have names, have Arabic names.
I was exploring this as a teenager and it lead me to the golden age of Islam (between AD 800 - 1200)."
