Abu Dhabi: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and the Ruler of Dubai, met His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, at Al Bahr Palace on Monday.
They discussed a number of national issues to help achieve sustainable development, reinforce the UAE’s stature globally, and enhance its reputation under the wise leadership of President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed then received a delegation from the UAE Space Agency accompanied by representatives of the space sector in the country.
The delegation gave an overview of the most important achievements made by the UAE in space science, the latest developments regarding the Hope Probe project and other ambitious national projects.
It also presented its vision of a strategic plan to develop strong and sustainable foundations for science and knowledge in the space science sector in the country. The members highlighted the importance of entrenching scientific knowledge in society to inspire national cadres to make innovations and discoveries in space that would serve the UAE in all sectors.
Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed expressed his pleasure at meeting the group. He said the UAE under the leadership of Shaikh Khalifa is keen to mould highly qualified national human resources that are able to meet the requirements of the future in various sectors and fields.
