Abu Dhabi: The Khalifa Bin Zayed Humanitarian Foundation (KBZHF) began distributing aid for Afghan refugees returning from Pakistan.

The aid includes food aid and shelter materials for the winter season, benefiting 157 families.

The move is in line with the directives of President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and under the follow-up of Shaikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Presidential Affairs and Chairman of KBZHF.

Juma Mohammad Al Kaabi, UAE’s Ambassador to Afghanistan, said that this relief and urgent aid was provided by KBZHF due to the dire living conditions of refugees returning from Pakistan. He pointed out that the foundation will provide Afghan refugees with even more services in the future, such as digging wells that will provide drinkable water.

The beneficiaries expressed their heartfelt thanks to the UAE leadership and the foundation for their assistance.
