Dubai: The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation has called on those interested in hiring domestic workers in Dubai, Ajman, Fujairah, Umm Al Quwain and Ras Al Khaimah to visit Tas’heel centres to complete the necessary application process.

Aisha Bel Harfia, assistant undersecretary for Domestic Worker Affairs, said coordination is currently under way with the Ministry of Interior to implement the necessary preparations for receiving applications from Sharjah and Abu Dhabi.

Bel Harfia said starting from Sunday, services related to employing domestic workers will be offered in the three Tas’heel centres in Ras Al Khaimah.

Services

The services rendered include the issuance of new entry permits, work permits, residency and work permit renewal services.

She added that these services were launched in Dubai late last year, and in Umm Al Quwain on May 21 this year, in Ajman on June 18 and in Fujairah on July 1.

Bel Harfia said requests are processed electronically and customers are notified through SMS on the current status of their applications.

Domestic workers include housemaids, cooks, security guards, drivers, gardeners and shepherds.
