Dubai: Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Crown Prince, honoured winners of the Emirates Foundation’s Think Science competition at an awards ceremony held on Thursday morning at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

Winners of the Think Science Competition were recognised for their innovations and ideas in the fields of science and technology. Think Science partners were recognised for their contributions towards the success of the event.

Shaikh Hamdan praised the efforts of Shaikh Abdullah Bin Zayed, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Chairman of Emirates Foundation, for the excellent job the foundation does to support local talents.

Speaking on the occasion, Shaikh Sultan Bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, managing director of Emirates Foundation, said that the UAE’s wise leadership pays great attention to Emirati citizens across all sectors and fields, especially innovators and pioneers, to help them refine their talents and take them forward in their education.

He added that the leadership under President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan was proud of its youth who innovate in all domains and raise the UAE’s flag high at international scientific forums and competitions.

The event was attended by Shaikh Hasher Bin Maktoum Al Maktoum, Director of Dubai’s Department of Information, Hussain Ebrahim Al Hammadi, Minister of Education, Jameela Salem Al Muhairi, Minister of State for Public Education, Dr. Ahmad Bin Abdullah Humaid Belhoul Al Falasi, Minister of State for Higher Education, and Lt. General Dahi Khalfan Tamim, Deputy Chairman of Police and General Security, as well as other shaikhs and senior officials.
