Abu Dhabi: Dr Anwar Mohammad Gargash, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Minister of State for Federal National Council (FNC) Affairs, commended the members of the FNC for their commitment to follow up on important issues affecting the interests of all segments of the UAE society.

In light of the discussions during the 12th session of the FNC, Dr Gargash stressed the vital legislative role of the Council members, citing the approval of the federal law on food safety after amendments. “This law is a step forward in enhancing the food safety and security of the community and its residents,” he said.

Gargash also pointed to the constant efforts of the Council to make recommendations to the government which highlighted its role as the pulse of the UAE society and the close involvement of the Council members with the community and its needs.

“The positive and constructive dialogue that took place at the Council during the meeting between the FNC members and representatives of the government shows the genuine harmony between the legislative and executive authority in serving the state and society. The members of the Council have helped enrich the strategies of the government and enabled it to provide the best services that meet the expectations of the UAE society,” he added.
