Abu Dhabi: Dr Amal Al Qubaisi, Speaker of the Federal National Council, lauded the new spirit of the deep national solidarity between the wise leadership and the loyal UAE people.
“The national cohesion is exemplified in the sacrifice of our righteous martyrs to defend the UAE’s cultural and ethical and humanitarian values that were laid by the late Shaikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan — the founding leader — who believed in Arab unity and the importance of coherence and cooperation and that the Arab national security is inseparable — an approach which is continued by President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan,” the FNC Speaker said.
She added: “Today we celebrate two precious occasions — the National Day and the Commemoration Day, which comes in memory and recognition of the sacrifices of our loyal Emirati heroes and in celebration of our Armed Forces’ victories and national achievements — these sacrifices and accomplishments will remain immortal in memory of present and future generations.”
She reiterated that martyrs would remain forever in the hearts of all Emiratis and their memory would be engraved in minds and the UAE’s history as medals of pride and glory.
Dr Amal noted that the UAE will always remember its fallen soldiers who were martyred while performing the call of duty without hesitation, longing for victory or martyrdom.
