Abu Dhabi: The Arab Family Organisation (AFO) and Arab League granted the pendant of Family Happiness to Her Highness Shaikha Fatima Bint Mubarak, Chairperson of the General Women’s Union, Supreme Chairperson of the Family Development Foundation and Chairwoman of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood.
The honour was presented to Shaikha Fatima when she received at al Bahr Palace a high level delegation comprised of a number of female figures in the UAE and representative from Arab and international organisations.
Shaikha Fatima expressed her heartfelt thanks for the honour, and pointed out its significance that stems from the AFO and Arab League’s belief in the importance of a happy family in building and developing societies. She stressed that Emirati families are a priority to the UAE leadership, which spares no effort in providing all means of support for them. Shaikha Fatima said that Emirati families are at the forefront of the government’s priorities and policies that aim to ensure their happiness, encourage their initiatives and achieve their aspirations.
On March 21, the naming Her Highness Shaikha Fatima Bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of General Women’s Union, Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation and President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, ‘Mother of Arabs’ was widely welcomed in the UAE.
Shaikha Fatima was given the name by the Arab Producers Union and the Arab Women’s Campaign and will be honoured at a special ceremony on Wednesday, in the presence of an elite group of Arab and international women leaders.
