Abu Dhabi: The Emirates Committee of Abu Dhabi for the Federal National Council Elections 2015 announced on Saturday it has launched its office at the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry building.

Jabr Al Suwaidi, Director-General of the Office of the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Emirates Committee of Abu Dhabi, said citizens have been trained as staff at the office to provide services to voters and candidates.

The Emirates Committee of Abu Dhabi is coordinating with the National Election Committee to offer technical and administrative assistance for the electoral process.

The Emirates Committee is responsible for receiving the final list of the Electoral College members, and providing forms for the electoral process at its offices.

The committee will also suggest locations for holding seminars and meetings conducted by the candidates and the members of the Electoral College, and receive candidacy requests submitted to the NEC.

The elections are set for October 3, with the electorate for this year having grown significantly as more citizens run for the elections. Emiratis can check their names on the Electoral College of their respective emirate.
