Dubai: Dubai Municipality has issued a circular to all waste management companies to implement the Automated Vehicle Tracking and Monitoring System on their vehicles.
Starting in 2016, the system will provide real-time monitoring of all vehicles, showing their exact location as well as the movement route of each vehicle throughout the day. It will curb illegal dumping practices and the random disposal of municipal, construction and demolition waste. Vehicles not supported by the system will not be allowed to enter any of municipality treatment or disposal facilities.
