People who need advice on security matters can call 901
Dubai: With one phone call, people in Dubai can get a free security consultation and advice without the need to walk into a police station, thanks to the latest Dubai Police service on non-emergency number 901.
Members of the public can dial 901 to get a consultation if they have problems in sectors like traffic, criminal, children and family, drugs and human rights.
Major-General Abdullah Khalifa Al Merri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, launched the new service to provide solutions and answers to the public without the need for them to go to a police station to get advice.
“The service will enhance communication between the public and Dubai Police. It is part of our responsibility to the society to make everyone happy,” Maj-Gen Al Merri said.
He said the service would guide people on to the proper path to solve their problems in a quick manner rather than walking into a police station to seek help for emergency and non-emergency matters.
Meanwhile, the non-emergency 901 received 145,315 calls in the first three months of this year as compared to 80,411 calls in the same period last year.
