Dubai: The UAE follows the approach of justice which was established as a human value rooted in the society by the founding father, Shaikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, said Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council.
“Fairness in the judiciary is the foundation of civilised nations and societies, and the right to non-discrimination and equality is only recognised by those who prioritise justice over anything else,” Shaikh Hamdan added.
Shaikh Hamdan made these remarks on Saturday as he visited the Dubai’s Personal Status Court where he was accompanied by Shaikh Maktoum Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Chairman of the Board of the Dubai Judicial Council, and Abdullah Mohammad Al Basti, secretary-general of the Dubai Executive Council.
During his visit, Shaikh Hamdan stressed the importance of the continuous development of the judicial work system in line with the vision of His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to place Dubai among the world’s top cities in terms of establishing accurate justice, upholding justice and values of independence and transparency, and providing accessible judicial services.
Shaikh Hamdan also called for raising the community’s trust in the judicial system to 100 per cent to keep pace with the efforts exerted towards building a secure society, enjoying equitable justice, and also for achieving excellence in the judicial sector at all levels as well as consolidating Dubai’s pioneering position on the global legal and judicial map.
He was also briefed on the methods of tolerance and alternative friendly solutions provided by Dubai Courts. He toured various sections of the Personal Status Court.
