Dh64.6m in donations collected for Yemen

Abu Dhabi: The Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) has announced that the total contributions received so far for the benefit of the Yemen: We Care donation campaign that was launched last Sunday, has reached Dh64.6 million.

The ERC campaign comes as part of the UAE’s stand by the Yemeni people, providing help to nearly 10 million people who are affected by the crisis taking place in Yemen. The ERC pointed out that most of the donations were made via SMS.

On Friday, national TV networks will run unified coverage of the campaign to receive donations and put the spotlight on the health, educational and public services requirements for rebuilding Yemen. (WAM)
