Abu Dhabi: A number of road and infrastructure projects valued at Dh276 million are currently being carried out in the capital’s Shakhbout City suburb, the Department of Municipal Affairs and Transport (DMAT) announced in a statement sent today (September 12).

The works, which are expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2019, include the extension of communication and sanitation networks to 423 new plots, including to 354 residential plots, two plots designated for educational institutions and two others for religious institutions.

About Dh4.6 million worth of street lights will also be set up in the suburbs to ensure traffic safety among road users, the DMAT statement said.
