Dubai: To promote civic engagement among the youth, Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, on Monday called on young Arabs to participate in the upcoming DardaChat initiative that will be held across various cities in the region.

DardaChat Arabia’s first event will be held at the Higher Colleges of Technology Men’s College in Dubai on October 20.

The initiative Dardachat was named after the Arabic word ‘dardasha,’ which means ‘to chat’.

“The development of the Arab society will depend on the achievements of innovators, and their experiences and determination to overcome challenges facing them on the path to their dreams. We have to provide these innovators with the appropriate platform [so they can] serve as models for future generations and pave the way for more achievements and inspiring stories,” said Shaikh Hamdan.

Shaikh Hamdan announced that Dardachat Arabia’s purpose is to attract Arab youth innovators, discover new talents and highlight their achievements, as well as support owners of creative ideas to help develop the community, and disseminate positive thinking throughout local and Arab communities.

This initiative represents the UAE government’s path to becoming an international hub for global talents and a haven for talented minds. The organising committee further launched ‘dardachatarabia’ on social media channels of Twitter, Facebook and Instagram to keep the public updated and engaged with aspiring youth.

Through its interactive platform, the forum will host young entrepreneurs and individuals to share their ideas and experiences in overcoming challenging situations on their road to success. It will also focus on important aspects such as creative ideas, technological development, leading projects, humanitarian responsibilities, knowledge excellence, inspiring personalities and others.

DardaChat Arabia offers an opportunity for online auditions for talented young Arabs to share their success stories through its website dardachatarabia.ae, where they can nominate their names no later than October 20.

A dedicated committee, that includes the DardaChat Arabia team, will select the best stories and invite their owners to participate in the upcoming events. After the submission stage is completed, the inspiring stories will then be displayed on the website to serve as a visual encyclopaedia of inspiring Arab ideas.

The audience at the forum will have an opportunity to meet influential and inspiring personalities and listen to their success stories while seated in the ‘Blue Chair’ area, providing speakers with the opportunity to communicate and interact with the audience in a question-and-answer session.
