Dubai: Dar Al Ber Society (DABS) has launched a campaign to raise money for 210 low-income patients with chronic diseases such as hepatitis, diabetes and cancer.

Marking Zayed Humanitarian Day, the society looks to collect up to Dh10 million through this initiative. Chairman of DABS Khalfan Khalifa Al Mazroui said the organisation will spare no effort to “ease the suffering of vulnerable people” and has themed this campaign on ‘Thank you Zayed Giving’.

Abdullah Ali Bin Zayed Al Falasi, DABS executive director, said the campaign is part of the society’s efforts to enhance community development, improve the charity sector and observe social responsibility.

“All this is meant to fulfil the health, life and financial needs of vulnerable people in collaboration with the bodies concerned in the country and the private sector as directed by the prudent leadership,” Al Falasi said.
