Abu Dhabi: Lieutenant General Shaikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, expressed his utmost pride in Emirati martyrs who paved the way by defending their religion of tolerance, responding to the call of duty and defending their brothers in Yemen by fighting for the victory of legitimacy and restoring hope to the Arab world.

“The names of our martyrs, and their sacrifices and heroics, will always be a badge of honour for our citizens, weaving cohesion and determination that terrifies the enemies of Allah,” said Shaikh Saif.

Shaikh Saif described the martyrs as the most beloved of Allah’s creations, following the Prophets. He said that martyrs are the embodiment of fearlessness, because they consolidated security, tranquillity and prosperity. Shaikh Saif said that the martyrs sacrificed their lives to keep the UAE flag flying high, and indicated that the glory of nations would not be possible without the sacrifices of its beloved citizens.

Shaikh Saif also expressed his heartfelt respect to the mothers, sons and families of martyrs.
