Abu Dhabi: The Department of Municipal Affairs and Transport of Abu Dhabi City Municipality conducted inspections at various commercial and residential buildings in Al Wathba to check the residents’ compliance with the rules regarding installation of private satellite television dishes, hoisting of the UAE flag and drying laundry on balconies.

During the inspections, the officials served five warnings for damaged flags, thus highlighting the importance of protecting the UAE flag from climatic conditions and keeping it fluttering in good condition. Two warnings were also issued against drying laundry on balconies.

The municipality also acknowledged the community’s awareness about complying with the rules by not installing more than four satellite dishes on a building’s rooftop.

The municipality undertakes these campaigns under Decree No. (2) of 2012 governing the overall appearance of the city, general health and public tranquillity in Abu Dhabi.
