Dubai: In honour of Dubai Police’s 60th anniversary since its inception, Burj Khalifa was seen decorated with the police’s emblem and the slogan ’60 years of Security and Excellence.’

Dubai Police Chief, Major General Khamis Mattar Al Muzeina, as well as directors from various departments, attended the celebration at Dubai Mall Square, which was organised by Emaar.

The official Dubai Police music band featured the event, playing a set at the square in front of a large crowd of mall visitors and officials.

Maj Gen Al Muzeina thanked Emaar for the celebrations, saying: “Dubai Police is proud to be partnered with Emaar in our shared goal of building and developing the emirate of Dubai.” The Police Chief added that “the police force has enjoyed sixty years of excellence and development. Our nation’s security is the source of our pride.”

Ahmad Al Matrooshi, Managing Director of Emaar Properties, said it was an honour for the property group to host the celebrations.

“This event is nothing but a small token of our appreciation for the exceptional service Dubai Police has provided to the emirate,” he said, adding: “Dubai Police has proven its excellence in its discipline, commitment and the way it responds to calls around the clock.”
